چکیده

We discuss the spin-triplet pairing mechanism induced by the Hund rule ferromagnetic exchange. We include explicitly the e ect of interband hybridization and treat the problem by starting from an extended Hubbard model for a doubly degenerate band, making the simplest Hartree Fock approximation for the part involving the pairing and the Hubbard interaction. The conditions of stability of various phases are determined as a function of both band lling and microscopic parameters. The phase diagram contains regions of stability of the spin-triplet superconducting phase coexisting with either saturated or non-saturated ferromagnetism. Phase diagrams for the cases of constant density of states and that of square lattice have been provided. The in uence of hybridization on the stability of considered phases, as well as the temperature dependences of magnetic moment and the superconducting gap are also discussed.

Coexistence of spin-triplet superconductivity with magnetism within a single mechanism for orbitally degenerate correlated electrons: statistically consistent Gutzwiller approximation

An orbitally degenerate two-band Hubbard model is analyzed with the inclusion of the Hund’s rule-induced spin-triplet even-parity paired states and their coexistence with magnetic ordering. The so-called statistically consistent Gutzwiller approximation (SGA) has been applied to the case of a square lattice. The superconducting gaps, the magnetic moment and the free energy are analyzed as a fun...

Coexistence of spin-triplet superconductivity and ferromagnetism induced by the Hund’s rule exchange

We discuss general implications of the local spin-triplet pairing among correlated fermions that is induced by the Hund’s rule coupling in orbitally degenerate systems. The quasiparticle energies, the magnetic moment, and the superconducting gap are determined for principal superconducting phases, in the situation with the exchange field induced by both the local Coulomb and the Hund’s rule exc...

Interpretation of Hund's multiplicity rule for the carbon atom.

Hund's multiplicity rule is investigated for the carbon atom using quantum Monte Carlo methods. Our calculations give an accurate account of electronic correlation and obey the virial theorem to high accuracy. This allows us to obtain accurate values for each of the energy terms and therefore to give a convincing explanation of the mechanism by which Hund's rule operates in carbon. We find that...

Full counting statistics for orbital-degenerate impurity Anderson model with Hund's rule exchange coupling.

We study nonequilibrium current fluctuations through a quantum dot, which includes a ferromagnetic Hund's rule coupling J, in the low-energy Fermi liquid regime using the renormalized perturbation theory. The resulting cumulant for the current distribution in the particle-hole symmetric case shows that spin-triplet and spin-singlet pairs of quasiparticles are formed in the current due to the Hu...

Fermionic Squeezed State for Simple Algebraic Models in Many-Fermion Systems

It is shown that a variational approach with fermionic squeezed states to manyfermion systems such as pairing model is one of useful methods beyond the usual Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov approximation. A pairing-type quasi-spin squeezed state is constructed and adopted as a trial state in the variational method. By using this state, quantum fluctuations are taken into account. In pairing model, dyna...
